Jason Morrison has been working in radio for over 22 years and has worked with some of the industry’s iconic figures.

A graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, he began his career as a trainee studio assistant at 2GB in 1989.  Nine years later, he was promoted to become the station’s youngest ever News and Current Affairs Director at just 26.

In 2001, Jason pursued a stint in television, holding the senior positions of Chief of Staff and News Editor at TEN Television Network for four years before returning to radio.

Twice the recipient of the Brian White Memorial Award for journalistic achievement, Jason has covered a number of the defining stories of our era; from the Port Arthur Massacre and both Bali bombings to the terms of four Prime Ministers.  He also reported live from Iraq while embedded with the Australian military.

Hosting the Drive program, Jason brings listeners the news of the day, covering all the big issues, mixed with a generous splash of entertainment, irreverent humour and most importantly, talk-back interaction with listeners.

When he’s not on the airwaves, Jason enjoys exploring remote parts of Australia. He has driven solo around the country four times, with each time delivering new and exciting experiences.

He also enjoys spending time with his family – his wife, son and two poodles.
