Jason began his career in radio straight out of school as a trainee studio assistant at 2GB in 1989.  Nine years later, he was promoted to become the station’s youngest ever News and Current Affairs Director at just 26.

In 2001, Jason went on to pursue a stint in television, holding the senior positions of Chief of Staff and News Editor at TEN Television Network for four years before returning to radio.

Jason has twice been the recipient of the Brian White Memorial Award for journalistic achievement and has covered a number of the defining stories of our era; from the Port Arthur Massacre and both Bali bombings to the terms of four Prime Ministers.  He also reported live from Iraq while embedded with the Australian military.

Over the last six years, Jason has been a regular contributor, back-up and Summer presenter of the Alan Jones Breakfast Show.  Since 2008, he’s hosted the 2GB Drive Show.

Jason grew up in North-western Sydney, attended St Leo’s College and is a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.  He enjoys spending time with his family – wife Heidi and their two poodles.

Jason hosts the 2UE Breakfast show, lending his critical mind and shrewd eye to the issues of the day.  His down-to-earth, pragmatic approach to life means Jason talks about what’s relevant to you.  His commitment to the highest-quality investigative journalism and dogged search for the truth makes for edge of your seat radio every minute of every program.
