2UE is strengthening and expanding our commitment to sport, keeping listeners up to date throughout the day with the latest developments as they unfold, on and off the field.  Respected commentator of 25 years and former Rugby League great, John Gibbs, continues as our main Sports Presenter on Sports Today weeknights.  But Gibbsy will have far more to say with the additional Weekend Sports Today!! 

John was a brilliant Rugby League player with the Manly Warringah Club - his unique running style made him a crowd favourite – but his playing career was brought to a premature end by injury.

In 1985, John made the jump to the media and soon became a key member of 2UE's top rating Rugby League commentary team and seamlessly transferring his grit, determination and sheer enthusiasm to the airwaves with great success.
