Murray Wilton has been working in radio for nearly three decades. Educated in Sydney, Murray’s first big break came when he was asked to set up a radio station in Goulburn. With extensive radio experience spanning both on air and off air, Murray has done everything from promotions, publicity, panelling, operations to presenting.
Murray has built up a reputation with loyal listeners for consistently delivering entertaining talkback radio and is widely considered to have the best laugh in the business. One of the enduring features of Murray’s personality is that he never takes himself too seriously.
Born and bred in Dalgety - a small town on the banks of the Snowy River - Murray is passionate about country life. As both Councillor of the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) and Business Manager for the Agricultural Societies Council (ASC) of NSW, Murray dedicates a lot of his time towards promoting rural NSW.
When Murray’s not on air - you’ll find him riding dirt bikes with his two sons, visiting country shows or exploring antique shops.
Returning to the evening shift for 2013, Murray will be sure to keep our night time listeners informed and entertained covering a range of topics from travel and cooking, to fishing and farming. No conversation is off limits with Murray – although you’ll never find him sitting on the fence.
