2UE's Paul Murray
Paul Murray began his broadcast career in 1999 and in just over a decade has emerged as one of the bright stars of a new generation of talkback hosts.
Starting out as a cadet news reporter, Paul has since built extensive experience across both talk and commercial radio formats, having worked with some of Sydney’s leading radio stations hosting both breakfast and drive programs. Paul’s outrageous sense of humour and gifted satire is legendary.
A recipient of the prestigious Brian White Award for excellence in journalism, Paul has covered many major news events including the Sydney’s bushfires, the federal election, Bali bombings and the collapse of Ansett.
Outside of the radio studio Paul remains busy. He is the week night host of popular panel show, ‘Paul Murray Live’ on Sky News Australia.
A league-lover, V8 Supercar aficionado, New York Yankees fan and self-professed film buff – Paul’s interests are certainly diverse.
A lively political commentator, Paul enjoys discussing the ‘news behind the news’ with listeners. Now broadcasting live from the newsroom of The Sydney Morning Herald, Paul sits behind the microphone in a purpose built interactive studio at Fairfax Headquarters.
