Australians take to shopping Online as sales skyrocket

Big changes for trading hours of retailers this Christmas. 24 hour trading will be extended across Sydney for a full fortnight. Jason Morrison discusses the move as an effort to combat online trading.

Compared to last year national sales are up 3%. But retailers want it closer to 6%.

Christmas this year falls on a Tuesday, meaning a lot of last minute shopping will happen across the weekend - but that means retailers will have to fork out penalty rates as well as longer staffing hours.
