2UE's new Morning host announced
Radio 2UE has named respected broadcaster and journalist Steve Liebmann as the new host of its weekday Morning Show.
'I honestly feel quite privileged to have been offered the 2UE Morning Show, given the heritage associated with the station and the time-slot'. Steve said
Steve Liebmann is well known to the 2UE audience, having first started at the station as a news reporter in 1968. More recently he's served as 2UE's fill-in presenter, working on the Breakfast and Morning Programs.
'Ultimately I'm there to entertain, but given the Morning audience stretches across New South Wales and beyond, I’m aware of the responsibility to deliver cut through opinion and content'.
The 2UE Morning Show is syndicated through 32 network stations stretching from Tweed Heads to the north, Alice Springs in the far west and Eden in the south.
Steve Liebmann will take over the role from Monday December 14, working right through the summer holiday period.
2UE General Manager, Tim McDermott, says Steve Liebmann's profile and news experience makes him the ideal person to take over from Steve Price in Mornings.
'We've conducted extensive research over recent months and Steve Liebmann continually returned strong figures. He's seen as a broadcaster who can deliver the very latest news and information, mixed with opinion and entertainment'.
'The Talk audience knows and trusts Steve Liebmann and he's the perfect fit to what will be a fresh Monday-Friday line up on 2UE in 2010' McDermott said.

Congratulations Steve. I have always listened to John Laws, and Steve Price. I am sure you won't hang up like the previous Steve. It will be a pleasure to listen to someone with such a crystal clear voice. Good Luck.
