An Australian soldier has been killed by an insurgent improvised explosive device during an operation in southern Afghanistan. He is the 39th Digger to die in Afghanistan, the seventh so far this year.

  • 39th reason to bring our troops home. We will never be able to conquer the Afghans! And the Americans will not be able to stay there forever either. It is better that we move out before the Americans do, so that we don't prove yet again that we are American stooges when it comes to international politics. Shame on Labour for continuing Howard's despicable policy on this!
