Listen Dr. Thom, why don't these people seek asylum in Malaysia, or Indonesia, where they would ASSIMILATE so much easier than here?.. and as for our International obligations, all Australia has to do is give the required 6 months notice to the U.N. and then there's no more International Obligation..

Yet to hear Amnesty complain about no one being charged over the fires in just about every detention centre. What about the way the patrol people are treated, Dr Thorn, you`re an opportunist.

@sonja silic, as a matter of fact THEY HAVE - every one of those countries you have mentioned. There are tons of material out there. Obviously, you are not reading about those, are you? Or, could it be that you think Australians are stupid and you can get away with anything you say? I wouldn't be surprised if it's either.

They are not asylum seekers they are by and large illegal immigrants. Most are muslims coming here with a goal of taking over this country. Our diggers both living and dead must be thoroughly insulted by what Madame Rank Incompetent Jul-liar Gillard aided by the aids avoider Browneye have done to our country by bloody lies, damned lies and abject rotten incompetence!

If Dr Graham Thom wants to keep these people safe, give him an AK47 and send him to the Middle East to help them, I will pay his airfare!
