Beaches open despite shark sighting

Surf clubs under threat from rising sea levels?

Sydney beaches are open today, despite a shark sighting forcing the evacuation of Bondi yesterday. Tens of thousands of people were left standing on the sand yesterday after the shark alarm was sounded.

They were allowed to return to the water not long after.

Dean Storey from Surf Life Saving Australia has told Stuart Bocking sightings at this time of year aren't uncommon.
