Media hype and sensation, little happens differently nowdays.
Rubbish it would change the age when kids start drinking, and if it did, then they would only be more likely to dabble in other things, more readily available.
Don't any of you remember what it was like tobe a teenager? All my friends drank and di other thign at every opportunity, now we are all doctors, lawyers, engineers police, parents and fine members of society.
Stop the wowsers and the panicky overreaction! More poin tless rules is not the answer.Schevvo Tuesday 31 August, 2010 - 2:43 PM -
Yes, lift the drinking age to 21. Make cut price liquor sales illegal. Increase the taxation on all alcohol by 10%.Re-introduce the offence of public drunkeness with a mandatory $400 fine and enforced medical/rehab treatment! Pubs to shut at 6pm for 1 hour then close at 10pm.
Clubs/Restaurants/Drunks Bars etc, not to serve alcohol after 10pm full stop! These are the initial cures for review in 12 months time you spineless politicians!Sam Tuesday 31 August, 2010 - 8:01 AM
