Call for second Sydney airport, again

Do we really need a second airport for Sydney?

The State's top planning chief has defied Premier Barry O'Farrell, calling for a second Sydney airport.

The Premier has openly rejected the plans - saying he would rather see Canberra airport upgraded and a high speed rail link to Sydney.

But Infrastructure New South Wales Chief Nick Greiner is expected to push for a second airport at Badgery's Creek in his organsation's transport plan released tomorrow.
