Call for Sharia Law in Australia
The Australian Islamic Mission says it's call for having Sharia Law made legal in Australia is not a high priority. The body says Sharia could be a secondary legal system similar to traditional Indigenous laws in the Northern Territory.
President of the Islamic Mission Zacariah Matthews says the issue is not likely to make it onto the National Agenda for some time.

This is absurd. Lets be more like the Netherlands and bar them completely, Sharia law in Australia is just the next step in Muslims fulfilling their sacred duty under the Koran to convert the whole world to Islam.
If they want Sharia Law, then let them go back to whatever scorpion infested desert they originally came from.Leave the infidels in Australia alone coz we are pretty right the way it is, thanks very muchTony Thursday 18 March, 2010 - 9:26 PM -
There's a couple of reasons whay this is rubbish! No 1; our legal system is far too ambiguous now and is in need of simplification & reform, not complication! 2: religion is the world's greatest problem resulting in povety, dispute, war and discrimination.

I've read about Shariah and theres a lot more to it than is reported, I think it would be great for this country, after all, Muslims are Australians as well.

The Australian Constitution bans the imposition of any religious practice on anybody. Hence, introducing Sharia law would be unconstitutional. Further, the Aborigines are entitled to some tribal law because they are the indigenous people of this land. Anyone who wants to live with Sharia law could try moving to Malaysia. It's not far.

The introduction of sharia law is this first step in the islamification of our country. Look at what has occurred in the UK, France etc, we don't want this to happen here and if it does then our country is lost.
