Damning allegations from ICAC

Former Goverment Minister, Edie Obeid arrives at the ICAC inquiry

Derek Peterson on the allegations from the ICAC inquiry that the family of Labor's Eddie Obeid made "massive" profits, when land near Mudgee was opened for coal-exploration, under the former Government.

The ICAC is investigating decisions made by then-Minister Ian MacDonald in 2008, and whether he was influenced by Mr Obeid.

Counsel Assisting, Geoffrey Watson SC, says one coal-exploration-area included an Obeid family farm.
