Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner says he wasn't thinking about breaking any records - when he finally took the freefall jump from the edge of space this morning.

The 43-year-old has become the first man to break the sound barrier - reaching a top speed of 1342-kilometres an hour.

Baumgartner says he prepared himself before jumping off the ledge and making his record breaking jump.
