Federal politicians ban the re-introduction of capital punishment

The Federal Parliament passed laws that ensure the death penalty can never be reintroduced by any state or territory in Australia. Steve Liebmann on both sides of politics supporting the move, which is largely symbolic.

why don't we the people get a say ,???? you know why , its because most Australians would want it back, if someone rapes and murders your 12 mth old child , what punishment would be suitable??? 10 years jail , because he's shown remorse , would you be happy with that , i wonder, if it happened to a premier or judge's child , would their view change
