  • Homophobia is deemed a vilification offence, so WHY aren`t allegations of heterophobia and/or heterosexism deemed likewise? When will we have some equality on this matter?
The `Proud Schools Program` in its recent consultation report was adeptly covered by Miranda Devine`s article of 17-10-12 `The thought police telling kids heterosexuality`s not the norm`. In this article she commented that parents certainly don`t expect that widespread acceptance of heterosexuality as the default human position would be demonised. Yet this is exactly what the Proud Schools Program does, but is that body being sued for vilification? NO! on the contrary, it received $250,000 of our taxpayer dollars to propagate their heterophobic ideologies, identifying anyone who doesn`t acquiesce as `abnormal` heterosexists who are causing all the trouble!

  • Excellent interview David. It's a sad indictment on society when people like this cab driver can say horrendous things about people just because of their sexuality.
