Greta Scaachi: Nothing Personal at the Ensemble Theatre

The Ensemble theatre is one of Sydney's best, and is presenting a new eagerly awaited David Williamson play. Gretta Scacchi will star in the story of modern day publishing and spoke with John Stanley about the role.

Play Overview:

Bea is the Australian publisher of a large international imprint. Naomi is her younger head of marketing. Bea is a legend in the industry, having discovered and promoted most, but not all, of Australia's high profile novelists and authors. Naomi is ambitious. Bea can't stand the current new “dirty realist” writers with their emphasis on drugs, sex and nihilism. Naomi believes these writers are bringing new truth and excitement into a stagnant literary scene.

With Williamson's incisive wit and sharp social perception, NOTHING PERSONAL is a blackly funny story about those with power and the ferocious fights they are willing to engage in to maintain it.

Sit back and be taken on a high voltage journey by Australia's most accomplished dramatist.
