Peter Spencer come down from his post

Hunger-striking farmer Peter Spencer will get his day in the High Court over controversial land clearing laws. The former Cooma grazier has been granted leave to appeal to the full bench of the High Court to determine if he's eligible for compensation, under the Native Vegetation Act.

He's demanding compensation from the Federal Government, after much of his land was locked up for conservation purposes. Mr. Spencer says it's a significant step for the campaign.
