Immunization: getting the right advice
A Health Care Complaints Commission has found the Australian Vaccination Network has allegedly been giving medical advice without authority on its website. Meryl Dorey defends the AVC with the Two Murrays.

And the t-shirts that the AVN sell that say, "love them, protect them, never inject them" seem fairly unequivocal in their anti vaccination stance.
Meryl always brings up pertussis, which is an interesting one since in the area she operates in has australia's lowest vaccination rates and pertussis (whooping cough) immunization needs to be boosted every few years. No vaccine can provide perfect protection and Meryl think we are dumb enough to buy into her reasoning that if it is not perfect we should not have it.
Well Meryl, Australia is waking up to your idiocy.

Well done gentlemen, well done.
Calling Meryl out on her mis-information.
Thank you

There are not two sides to every story. Vaccination is not a perfect solution but the alternatives are a health disaster of proportions I don't want to contemplate.

I wish the host had asked her which vaccinations she has gotten over the past 20 years and which she's given to her children, since, you know, she's not anti-vaccination. Of course the answer is almost certainly none and contrary to her claims, she has in fact encouraged people not to vaccinate, even to the point that she's sold Scientology propaganda material. And the notion that she's more qualified than a doctor is laughable. The hosts did a great job.

Bloody brilliant, Murray and Murray! It was great to hear someone ask all the things we wish we could ask - and get the answers that only Meryl Dorey could mess up that badly!
What a treat. Thanks!
