Is Julia Gillard the victim of sexism?
Do we judge the performance of Julia Gillard because of her gender? Is it a nonsense, or is Sarrah Le Marquand right in claiming the PM suffers a bad image because she is female? David Oldfield on sexism and Julia Gillard.

What on earth is this Tasmanian Devil thinking about?

I think she is copping it less because she is female.
Bob Brown is fortunate that Julia is sheilding him.John A Thursday 9 February, 2012 - 10:21 AM -
There is no sexism, no-one really cares whether our Prime Minister is male or female. All we ask for is someone, male or female, who is competent to do the job. JuLIAR GilLIARd is solely responsible for her own demonstrated lies and deceit, her backstabbing, and the scams and the fraud that she has perpetrated on this country and her fellow well-meaning and well-intended politicians through her own choices whilst holding the position of PM of Australia.
She is Australia's first real national embarrassment.David Kessly, Arequipa Peru Thursday 9 February, 2012 - 2:20 AM -
Whoever suggested Julia Gillard is the victim of sexism is simply stupid and brainless. In fact she got better treatment being a female. From the way she treated her own people and the general public with all the rubbish carbon tax, cattle export chaos to boat people etc have already proved that she and her cabinet are completely useless people who only seek rewards for themselves and wasted money on areas that only benefit a small number of people (e.g. free set top boxes, satellite NBN for rural area, etc etc). A Govt with such limited vision is terrible and shameful. Liberals may not be a lot better but definitely no worse the Gillards government. After the next election I hope not seeing Labors/Green/Independent in power for at least 20 years, otherwise it will be a total disaster for Australia.

An over reaction as per usual by the Tasmanian tree hugger who would have us all living naked on the floors of forests. A silly insular, myopic joker who doesn't even look the part - one Bob Brown, president of the tree hugging greens party that sold its soul to Jul-liar Gillard!
Jonathon L Wednesday 8 February, 2012 - 7:18 PM -
The simple answer is NO! The labelling of Gillard being a victim of sexism is just an utterly delirious descriptor and silent expression of defeatism by none other but the greens party knucklehead Bob Brown. Why? Because is now realises he has backed a dud - and a bigger dud than Rudd. What goes around comes around Mr Brown. It is high time you retired! You're the main protaganist in the mess made by Madam Jul-liar too!
