  • There's actually more danger in boxing and rugby league. In boxing you can only win by punching the torso and head until they can take no more. Generally they just get their head bashed in.

    With MMA the fight continues until there is a KO, stoppage or submission.

    The fact that you can stop your opponent with chokes, ankle locks and other moves makes it safer than just bashing someone's head in until their brain can take no more.
