Is the video store at an end?

Is the local video store facing the end? Is the video store a thing of the past, or do you still rent from the local? 2UE’s Dale Sinden and Simon Foster from Sunday Night at the Movies ask if there’s a swing away from Paul Uniacke from Franchise Entertainment group.

A recent piece in the Daily Telegraph suggests a swing away from the rental of movies is spelling the end for your neighbourhood video store. It’s a resilient industry that’s been around through tough times but can it survive the latest shift in public spending ways?

Paul Uniacke is a man with a vested interest in the future of the biz as Director of the Franchise Entertainment Group and a major shareholder in the Video Ezy and Blockbuster chain of stores.

Do you still attend the local video store? How could they improve their services?
