  • They want a separate state in which to live. Have a look at Gaza and see how that will end up relying on outside help to subsist. No Way, ban 'em

  • it really bothers me that they use arab countries banning such organisations as a valid argument.
the arab countries are tyrannical and dont want their oppressive governments challanged. itmight mean that they would have to treat their citizens humanely!

people need to learn about the world...

  • The present debate about asylum seekers is a smokescreen for the internal cloud-storms gathering inside our existing population. These Islamic extremist are a threat to our democracy. Religious freedom is one thing, but freedom to plan to "take over" the world and enforce their own form of sharia law and lifestyle is wrong and contrary to democracy. While concentrating on "border security" from asylum seekers, most of who are eventually found to be genuine, our Government has failed to filter our legal immigrants sufficiently. With so many people arriving to our shores, thanks to Kevin Rudd's boost to immigration, how can we keep a close check on each and every person, their criminal backgrounds and their idealogies?

  • How can this 'small' group be a threat to people in Australia? They ask for robust debate about an alternate system of life, and call for political change in other parts of the world where Muslims live. They have not asked for a different legal system in Aust, but why should all people ascribe to a single set of values, especially aussie ones? You righly state there is one law in Aust, and no one can escape it, so stop with that rediculous argument. The fact is, Aust Govt is fighting people (innocent i might add) to force THEM to adopt western values and systems!
