Meatworks shutdown: animals bashed

The bigger picture needed on our cattle exports?

Calls for all slaughter houses to have CCTV footage following the shut down of Hawkesbury Valley Meats, after a video showed workers bashing animals with metal poles. David Oldfield on the call for more action.

 

 

Peter Day from the New South Wales Food Authority says the operators face severe penalties if convicted of animal cruelty.

 

Francis Keany reports a Sydney abattoir has sacked a number of workers involved in the gross mistreatment of animals.

  • The fight against animal cruelty such as this is ongoing - Aussies need education that they can know how badly the animals on their plate have suffered in order to be there. No animal deserves to suffer and die for me, I am working towards veganism in order to have an ethical table. No excuses for animals cruelty - including our taste buds or the greed of producers.     Found to use these Methods..It makes me soo Sad this is Happening in Australia,where the best Meat in the World comes From.
