Almost 300,000 Australians live with dementia, a crippling disease that will inflict grief not just on the sufferer, but their family. Stuart Bocking with Mike Carlton on his personal journey with his mother.

Each week, there are 1,600 new cases of dementia in Australia. That is expected to grow to 7,400 new diagnoses each week by 2050. Without a significant medical breakthrough, it is expected people with dementia will soar to almost 1 million by 2050.
