Optus win footy broadcast rights

What is appropriate etiquette with mobile phone usage?

Optus says a Federal Court decision allowing it to broadcast National Rugby League and Australian Football League matches online is a win for consumers, but the matter may not be over, with football codes likely to appeal.

The telco has successfully sought protection from the Federal Court against the AFL and NRL, which threatened Optus for allegedly infringing the Copyright Act.

Justice Steven Rares has found Optus's TV Now did not infringe copyright, because Optus users had themselves made the recording of the matches, similar to when a person uses a video or digital recorder.
