Pauly; the laws are already there, but obviously the problem is a lot of lax questionable magistrates these days choose to ignore these tough laws. And on occasions have even criticized the poor no win ambos and then let the aggressor off!! Recently a magistrate belittled, brow-beat an ambo-victim with bizarre racist accusations, falsely claiming that the ambo disliked black people and then the magistrate in a tangent went on and blamed the bloody ["racist"] ambo and not the aggressor charged before the court. Some worrying arrogant magistrates need a big boot up the arse. I believe they need to be drug tested, just like in many other crucial jobs?? Bottom Line-lifesaving ambos are more than worthy of our unconditional support even in court!!!
