Plea to stop criminal name changes

Is the system letting down good people looking after wrong doers?

Is the system letting down protection of decent people over making sure it looks after the wrong doer? Jason Morrison with a passionate plea on the power to stop convicted criminals changing their names, while in jail.

Jean Furlong's son Michael was stabbed to death by chronic schizophrenic Michael Sorell 10 years ago.

It has now emerged he has changed his name to Michael Striker.

Ms Furlong has told Jason Morrison she was horrified to receive a call about the change from Births, Deaths and Marriages.

There's outrage this morning over revelations criminals are changing their names while still in jail or mental hospitals. David Oldfield with Vice President of Victims of Crime Howard Brown on prisoners hiding their identities through a name change legal loophole. He says he knows of at least 18-convicted criminals who have had a name change.

They put a complete end to the very successful Liberal
OFF SHORE PROCESSING policy and sent a very clear message to all the UNIDENTIFIED ILLEGAL CRIMINALS that they are more than welcome into Australia !
So ! If the Red Carpet is out for Non-Australians , it is then only fair that Australian Criminals have the same opportunity of Identity Change !!!!

Once again the nasty vile Christian attitude rears it's ugly head again, attacking the people that have served their punishment only to find that the nasty vile Christians want to issue more punishment, let them start again without constantly being harrassed and intimidated by the rabble stirred up by shock jocks etc!
Get an injection of Buddhism, take a chill pill and be nice!
