I have spoken to the State Rail about supplying a mobile number so that while we are on public transport we can photograph transgressors and supply that photo and location details for their apprehension without putting yourself in danger by using a voice call, they were not interested! said it would be too hard!
I say very easy to supply
1: photo
2: location
3: bus or carriage number
4: your detatil. The crims wouldn't know where and they wouldn't know when they were being reported.
Now it's a matter of "we won't know when and we won't know when" the cops will stumble upon the crims.
Possibly a case of "This is my job and I don't want your help!"
State Transit is a bunch if usless introverts!

I sincerely hope that we get some of these Police on the Northern Beaches buses !!
I've experienced on several occasions large groups of young males sitting at the back holding a few cartons of mixed alcoholic drinks and consuming them. Not to mention the noise and obscene language !!! Not sure how and why they were let on the bus at all !!
This is just one of the problems !
Unsocial behaviour is very much a habit !!!sonja silic Tuesday 14 February, 2012 - 5:28 PM -
Will the Police get a pay raise to match what the Transit Officers get ?

Years ago the no non-sense, high profile, highly respected, active Railway Cops and the covert Railway D's did an outstanding job. People felt very safe then! Todays retreating, disappearing Transit Officers are clearly ineffective and a big waste of public money. I do hope that the lazy, workers-comp-prone, disinterested police, are not permitted by a just as lazy management to merely sit on their bums somewhere too, out of sight, out of mind, just waiting to go home, do some overtime and then collect their substantial taxpayer-paid pay packet?? Like their predecessors. Sadly I think this will be the case!
