Despite tough new laws to curb hoons, each day 15 P-platers lose their license. Stuart Bocking discusses the number of on-the-spot disqualifications for new drivers more than doubling over the past 5 years.

  • Back when I got my P plates, 1975, any infringement and you lost your license for at least 1 month. They have it easy now with the 4 point system!

  • Another gesture without teeth! The number of P platers that hoon around and think the world owes them the right to use the roads in anyway they feel is there all the time. Start restricting all P platers to low capacity non modified cars and strickly enfore it and the number of P plate deaths will decline.
