Parents pulling children out of pre-school due to soaring fees

It's been revealed Sydney families are pulling their children out of pre-school - with fees soaring up to $55 a day.

Parents are launching a social media campaign against the 23-year "funding freeze" - which is leaving thousands of four-year-olds under-prepared for school.

Parents can't claim federal government rebates for pre-schools like they can for childcare centres.

  • Parents can get upto $22,500 from govt. plus the childcare centre gets govt. funding. Isn`t it cheaper to give the money straight to the parents to use as they feel fit. Who wants strangers bringing up their children anyway ? These centres are more often "for profit" and are little more than desease factories and they don`t even teach morals or manners.
