  • Yes, private health care is becoming unaffordable in Australia thanks to this rotten Brown/Gillard/turncoat marxist 'government.' My cover and that of most other subscribers is now means tested again thanks to these rotters who have singularly made a catastrophic mess of this Country.

  • Last year I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. Soon after, my Mum started having similar problems. She underwent tests and was diagnosed with a similar, but not the same, condition. I was diagnosed and treated by a fantastic doctor. My Mother was treated and diagnosed by a fantastic doctor. I was treated under Medicare, it didn't cost me a cent. My Mum, on the other hand, is in a private health fund, the procedure cost her about $900.
I don't feel guilty about using Medicare, I've been paying tax since I started working at 14, just like my Mum. But she is in a position in her life where she thought it would be the responsible thing to do to get insurance. But it ended up costing her more. Where is the logic in that?
