Qantas & union fail to get resolution

Talks fail between the unions and Qantas

Ongoing pay talks have broken down between the unions and Qantas, and are now headed for binding arbitration with Fair Work Australia. Qantas CEO Alan Joyce on the path forward on negotiations with Two Murrays.

 

 

Qantas Unions say there's no guarentee they won't try to stage rolling strikes over the Christmas and New year period.

The comment comes as they prepare to enter into negotiation with airline management before FairWork Australia.

Tony Sheldon from the TWU tells David Oldfield there is nothing further on offer for the unions from Qantas.

He says it’s morally repugnant how the company is treating it's loyal workforce.

Arbitration is now the next step, but legal action will also be considered.
