Red Cross need you to give blood

Australia's donor blood supplies are at a critical level

There could be a blood shortage this silly season, with the Red Cross warning it needs more than 7,000 donors to meet targets. Australians are being urged to roll up their sleeves and donate in the New Year period.

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service requires thousands of extra donors to ensure that there isn't a shortage of platelets product vital to recovering cancer patients.
