Fallen cycling hero Lance Armstrong has personally apologised to staff members of the Livestrong cancer charity ahead of his much anticipated interview with television talk show diva Oprah Winfrey.

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has confessed to Oprah Winfrey during an interview today that he used performance-enhancing drugs according to reports from America's Associated Press.

Armstrong reportedly confessed to Oprah to doping to win the Tour de France.

The interview with Armstong, who has been banned for life from the sport and been stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, will air on Friday 1pm on the Foxtel Discovery channels.
