Sports Today returns to 2UE 954
In a change destined to delight sporting fans around Australia, Sydney’s 2UE has today announced the return of Sports Today to its weekday line-up in 2012.
The move re-unites league legends John Gibbs and Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander as Presenters of this iconic sports program.
Together, these former rugby league internationals have amassed a combined 40 years experience in commentating on Sport in the Australian media.
2UE General Manager, Chris Parker is excited about the show’s return. “I’m looking forward to hearing Gibbsy and Brandy on Sports Today and so are our listeners”, he said. “Sports Today is the best sports show on the radio and a true star in our stellar line-up for 2012”.
This year our Sports Today hosts will be joined by ‘vice captains’ and contributors Tim Webster and Rebecca Wilson.
Tim Webster is one of the most recognised faces and voices of sports broadcasting. For more than a decade Tim hosted Channel 10’s Sports Tonight and is ‘match fit’ and ready for play in the Sports Today arena.
Rebecca Wilson will ensure that the boys don’t have it all their own way. As a respected journo and sports commentator, Rebecca is whip-sharp, candid and never holds back – get set to watch the sparks fly.
Sports Today with Gibbsy, Brandy, Tim and Rebecca, from 6pm-8pm Monday to Friday from February 27.

Glad Sports Today is back. Even if I do only listen some days, switch over to an FM sports show the days Rebecca Wilson is on. But glad sanity prevailed and Sports Today is back.
