Time to lift the drinking age?
Is it time to lift the drinking age from 18 to 21? PM Rudd made personal comments he’d like to do so on Q&A, and Professor Ian Hickie points to the good reasons for a political party to bite the bullet and lift the limit?

More BS from Chairman rudd.
On the one hand he is suggesting lifting the drinking age, yet, on the other hand he is wanting to REDUCE the voting age!
Another pathetic attempt to win back some popularity he has rightly lost.
Rudd & his Labor government have lost all credibility!

No way should the drinking age be lifted to 21 unless of course the age at which Australia's youth can be placed in danger in war zones is also lifted to 21. Surely the answer is to apply the full force of the law onto anyone supplying alcohol including parents, clubs and hotels. How can liquor outlets claim to be observing RSA when alchohol influenced patrons are responsible for so much alchohol influenced social disorder. lets get tough on the source of the alchohol, not the youth being affected by the profit driven clubs pubs and older people. By the way I am a senior citicen, not a young person being subjected to the bleeding heart comments made by Rudd10
