A forest or the trees?
20,000,000 trees wouldn't be enough to make a decent sized forest ---- an area of 10km x 8km would support up to 40,000,000 trees (and it wouldn't be considered as being a 'dense growth' forest).
So,we must ask -- how many forests of this size could be planted in Australia?
The Federal Opposition has again introduced the numbers game to confuse everyone, including themselves, about what the effect of 20,000,000 trees would have on reducing CO2 --- I suggest the answer is unmeasureable!!!Bob Daley Thursday 4 February, 2010 - 4:14 AM -
the fact is that after watching the parliment for last 2 days, the more I see of Rudd talking and smirking the more I dislike him, the more I believe he is lying. The guy says a lot of nothing and as for Gillard and the band of fools it becomes evident that there is not an ounce of morality in them.

I am waiting for the day when I will hear Tony Abbott complete a sentence without ums and ahs one after another. He seems to change his mind more than a woman. First "it's crap" now he comes out with planting trees and burying carbon. Why isn't he tackling big business? I think we all know why!
