  • As for 80kmh,if it was to be the law than you'll all be complaining about the trucks hogging the roads. Why dont we just do away with them and see what happens to Australia. Or just do away with them for 2 weeks and see what happens,"as a trial"

  • For all those people who hates trucks or drivers that have no idea what it intails to be in control of a truck.Australia would not be what it is if it wasnt for them, wake up to your selves and stop being brain washed by the pollies.

  • It's extremely tragic to see accidents such as this but as a professional truck driver we often see tragities like this. I'd like to say that 95% of professional truck drivers DO do the right thing and yet the 5% that do run a much give the rest of us a bad name. The amount of car drivers that exceed the limit, talk or txt on their phones are far greater than the trouble truck drivers so call cause. Do people realise how many accidents that involve car and truck are more often than not the fault of the car driver. I understand this obviously isn't the case this time and as sad as it is that people have lost their lives unnecessarily, the driver of that truck has to now live with the fact that he has killed 3 people. My heart goes out for the loss of lives and their families but it also goes out to the young driver.

  • The accident today is an absolute tragedy. It shows you will have tragedies wether the road is single as in Urangan or double lanes as in todays crash. I have always maintained it's mostly driver error that causes these accidents. People will not drive to the conditions, many more are reckless and impatient drivers..

  • This is nothing short of a tragedy, I drive on that M5 every day and there is not one day that you don't see a truck of some kind that break all speed limits and where are the police to enforce these limits!!!
