Vaccine leads in cancer plunge

The developer of the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil says he's heartened the drug has led to a plunge in diagnosis rates.

The number of teenage girls with the cancer-causing Human Papilloma Virus has fallen 77 per cent since the drug was introduced five years ago.

Professor Ian Frazer has told Jason Morrison it's partly due to the success of the way the vaccine has been rolled out.
