  • McHales Navy? Why not have a suitable Navy Medal of their own? The revered, sacred Infantry Soldiers' V.C. is strictly provable, awarded only for valour "in the face of the enemy" and it is entirely inappropriate to claim "retrospective" navy heroes for this most revered, sacred V.C. award. The reason the navy has been rightly excluded in the past by professional military people. Who obviously know much more than lobying republican Mike Carlton etc. Has absolutely nothing to do with the inconsistent [Anti-Royal, Anti-Australian Flag] left-wing green, Mike Carlton's silly, muddying, latest "colonialism" claims for V.C. Medals to be loosely handed out. Diminishing the traditional value of the revered V.C.
