Coalition fractured as ETS deal struck
Malcolm Turnbull is fighting for his political life today, fronting a hostile Liberal Party meeting over an ETS deal. Has disagreement fractured the coalition ranks too? Steve Price talks with Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce.

I praise Mr Turnbull's commitment to cutting down carbon emission, for his honesty and reasonability to the nature and the nature of our future generations. He has acted wisely and responsibly for the best interest on the nature, not for his personal gain. He is a politician who is determined to put nature's future ahead of the "party". He is the opposition party leader, unlike any other opposition leaders, who does not blindly oppose any governmentâÂÂs polices. He has his principle, decency and integrity, which will make him a leader of the nature one day, simply because he is distinct from many other traditional "skillful" politicians who only are only interested in crushing opponents/competitors, within own party or other party, for whatever reason.
I would like to call the media to publish the names of all those who oppose the ETS bill and voters to punish them in the next election, for their reckless behaviors.

Steve,
Hope Turnbull is gone, not necessarily an Abbott supporter as he is very hard to pin down and sits on the fence in many interviews, but at least he has a negative ETS stance. Bye bye Liberals who vote for the ETS with Chairman Rudd and bye bye party unless there is someone who stands up and takes a considered non political approach to the ETS issue. Libs have lost a loyal supporter in myself, my vote goes to Barnaby who at least stands tall among the packs and appears to work on ethic and community value.
Cheers

This Micky Mouse tax is based upon corrupted science. We will pay dearly. It is a very bad day for Australia.

The ETS ( Extra Tax Scam ) is the biggest swifty that has ever been attempted to be pulled on the Australian people. I'm still hoping it doesn't go through) . It has absolutely nothing to do with anything environmental and everything to do with replenishing the depleted coffers. I have absolutely no faith in any of the powers that be to do what is best for our country or economy. They seem to forget that they are there to represent our interests. I'd like to know when an ETS became the only answer to climate change even if you do believe it exists. Surely we the taxpayers deserve a say on matters like environmental policy, immigration, etc. What about a referendum?. No money for that? Find out what the priorities of the average Australian are - it won't be insulation or having Mandarin taught in schools or even climate change for that matter.I am seriously scared for the future of Australia -it will be my sons wearing the shackles this government is creating. Call me a panic monger if you like but it sure beats the apathy I see around me every day or is it blind faith.
