Are our kids out of control?
Young kids running amuck, Tim Webster says the story is disgraceful! He claims the system is wrong from the top down, and parents too are to blame. How dare we blame a six year old for their bad behaviour?

Thanks Tim for talking common sense, I feel have lost control of their kids and it started happening many year ago, kid have no respect for their parents or any other adult ( eg police etc) We need to come down hard and bring these uncontrolable kids to take the consequency for their actions

What can people do? We can talk and talk but things don't look like changing. Its clear what needs changing-
1: Parents need to made accountable. If kids are deemed too young to be charged then the responsability lies with the parents just like I can get in trouble for not controlling my dog.
2: The soft judges need to be publicised. If there is a bad decision, then give as much coverage to the judge and have them hounded into acting in a way the community wants - or just sack them if they are repeat offenders (I'd enjoy the irony in that one)
3:It needs to be harder for people who can't support and look after themselves to have kids. Its a stupid society that lets a single mum on the pension to have more kids or someone who been in goal for a long time or had a drug habit half their lives. There is over 6 billion people in the world, not all of them should be parents.

I am a school teacher and I see many parents who have absolutely no idea how to raise children. The kids are let run wild when they are young and then at the age of entering school the parents wants to start discipline. Children are like empty vessels. We need to begin from birth teaching them appropriate and innappropriate behaviour - and it needs to be done through nurture, patience and the occasional slap on the bottom !
