NSW Community Help for Victoria

The NSW community has been extremely generous in its offers of help to our Victorian neighbours. The best way that people can help at the moment is by donating cash to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal on 1800 811 700.

Thousands of businesses, Councils, residents and community groups are also offering non-cash assistance.

To help manage all these offers the NSW Government has set up a new hotline 1800 227 228.

The aim of the hotline is to:

Provide a one stop shop where members of the community can get advice as to how best they can help take some of the day-to-day pressure off the Victorian Government Hotlines and NSW charities.Start a central database of all the goods and services that have been offered that can be sent to our Victorian friends to use as they need.

The NSW Government is working closely with charities and the Victorian authorities to ensure we can smoothly manage all these generous offers of support and help.
